LEARN ABOUT FULL-ARCH DENTAL IMPLANTS

What exactly are full-arch Implants or the All-on-4 procedure?

Our dental office is proud to be the region's premier provider of the All-on-4 Teeth Replacement procedure. All-on-4 dental implants, also referred to as “Teeth-in-a-Day,” is a unique procedure that allows us to restore a full arch of upper and/or lower teeth in the same day using the innovative implant technique called All-on-4 from Nobel Biocare. If you are tired of wearing your denture or if your denture is loose and ill-fitting the All-on-4 or Teeth-in-a-Day procedure will help you get rid of your denture and provide you with permanent teeth. If you are about to lose your teeth or have many missing teeth, the All-on-4 procedure is the answer you’ve been looking for.

Who is a good candidate for full-arch Implants?

Dental implants are widely regarded as the best treatment for loose dentures. Permanent dental implants are designed to make dentures much more secure and enable you to smile, eat and talk confidently. We can assist you if you have been thinking about investing in implants. The implants act as a foundation for replacement teeth. They won’t decay and are designed to last for the rest of your life. Implants can be used in conjunction with various dental procedures to improve oral health. Once they are installed, you’re much less likely to face problems with slippage and discomfort. Most everyone is a good candidate for the All-on-4 procedure as long as you have the ability heal and mend a wound.

Why Choose a Periodontist for Your All-on-4 Dental Implants?

Our doctor works in a state-of-the-art surgical center designed to deliver exceptional patient care using the most advanced technology available, including a 3D Cone Beam Scanner, which provides pristine, 3D images of the jaw and mouth areas for a more thorough, comprehensive examination and better preparation.

Further, Dr. Karapetian is uniquely trained and qualified to offer patients a variety of anesthesia options right in our office, including intravenous sedation (an excellent option for the anxious patient to “go to sleep” for the procedure) and oral sedation.

Finally, due to Dr. Karapetian's extensive additional training with 4 to 6 years of residency after dental school, she is specifically trained in all aspects of dental implant surgery. Her in-depth familiarity with the structure of the facial and jaw bones allows Dr. Karapetian to accurately assess the likelihood of long-term dental implant success or determine whether an initial bone or soft tissue graft would make the patient a better candidate for the treatment. If a bone or soft tissue graft is necessary, they can perform the procedure in the office.

What is the process for getting “All on 4” and “Teeth in a Day” Implants?

“All on 4” and “Teeth in a Day” are terms used to describe a procedure that allows patients to receive replacement teeth in just one day. You may hear of other versions of this procedure such as “Teeth in an Hour,“ “Dental Implants in One Day,“ “Teeth In One Day,“ “Teeth In One Visit.” While they go by many names, all refer to a one-day implant treatment, which restores a full arch of replacement teeth. The All-on-4 treatment concept utilizes four dental implants to attach your new set of permanent replacement teeth in a minimally invasive way. The dental implants used in this procedure are specially designed for immediate function and typically do not require bone grafting. This treatment is attractive for those patients with dentures or in need of full upper and/or lower restorations. If you are about to lose your teeth or have many missing teeth, the All on 4 procedure can help you achieve a beautiful smile and teeth in just one day.

Unlike other approaches that involve more laborious and costly techniques often requiring bone grafting, sinus lifts, and eight or more implants per arch, which can take up to 3 years to complete treatment, Dr. Karapetian uses this proven technique that involves only using four specially placed implants without the need for bone grafts and sinus lifts.

The end result is a solid base of teeth that are fixed in place and are not removed. It means lower costs and reduced healing times allowing our patients to regain their original youthful smile and original function faster, more reliably. The All-on-4 technique is FDA approved and has a long history of success.
